We quickly got up to speed with all the products and created a full stock management operation. This allows us to service the needs of each individual store’s requirements and be immediately responsive to the peaks and troughs in the retail calendar.

Through our production facility, we continuously monitor and replenish the priority line stocks to ensure we maintain an efficient chain of supply to stores throughout the year:

• 125+ product items on the priority list
• Over 1,000,000 individual parts made each year
• In excess of 9,000 individual store order ‘picks’ completed annually

To deliver such a responsive service requires methodical planning across our production and logistical teams. We are also constantly in search of more efficient and environmentally friendly ways of working to help drive down costs and support M&S’s ‘Plan A’ strategy.
