We’re always on the lookout for new POS innovations and inspiring visual merchandising experiences and this week, Fran Nicholls from our VM team is feeling inspired by Warehouse’s new in-store look.

British high street brand Warehouse has presented their new store concept at its Argyll Street branch. The concept is set to be rolled out to further locations both in the UK and internationally.

The design takes inspiration from the city and balances a modern look with a gritty, urban edge. The journey through the store is intended to represent the journey through a city. The concept consists of products merchandised against brick walls, tiles and other building facades, with bold pops of yellow to guide customers through the space.

The 251 square-metre store uses a wide variety of materials to create a dynamic and layered environment that fuses modernity with an urban character. Polycarbonate sheets, galvanised roller shutters and illuminated timber structures are all used in the store. The colour palette includes primarily urban and moody tones, as well as bright accent colours including yellow and blue.

There are large digital screens at both ends of the store which showcase a rolling series of digital content, from city scenes to flocking birds and skylines. There are a number of lightboxes situated on the ceiling of the store showcasing birds flocking the sky, which is set to draw customers into and throughout the store.

We’re looking forward to seeing how they integrate aspects of this concept in stores across the UK.
